Here at FIRE ZONE CERAMICS, we design all our products in-house. All stages are done here, starting from mold making, pouring of clay products, firing in kilns, and continuing to the finished painting, glazing and firing stages. Some of the molds we use are purchased, but we also make our own molds. We do all of the casting and firing on site. The glaze used on our products are "food safe," which means our products can withstand heat well over the temperature of a microwave oven. The materials used in all of our products are of the highest quality. There are no assembly lines or machines used. Everything is done one at a time by hand, this allows to be able to regulate our quality products first hand!

Getting BACK TO THE BASICS.... Many years ago, they discovered that making an oven lined with clay bricks and infusing air into the oven allowed the interior of the oven to reach a high enough temperature to melt iron ore into liquid. This means that clay could possibly be the best material to use in making a tobacco smoking hand pipe. There is no taste affiliated with the heating of the clay smoking pipes, which cannot be said about most other materials. We have developed many unique forms of producing our clay tobacco smoking hand pipes.

The process of making the clay tobacco smoking pipes begins by hand-making the molds. From there, the smoking pipes are casted, fired at 1900 degrees fahrenheit, painted and glazed, and then fired a second time. In some cases, our unique smoking hand pipes are fired yet a third time depending whether or not a beautiful pearled glaze is applied or an awesome gold or silver plated glaze is used. The clay smoking hand pipes that Fire Zone Ceramics produces are not only unique, durable and heat resistant, we consider them a work of art!
